Enigma

At first, everyone wants a little piece of the mystery, the charm and the fascination. The heady impact it has on all your senses almost makes you forget what you were doing, a minute ago. The imploding urge to spend every waking minute understanding the phenomenon, and the reason for its existence.

It makes you do things that surprise you. Words that were only just forming in your head, suddenly tumble out of your mouth, with no semblance of sanity. Well, that’s the effect enigma has. Words cannot do justice to it.

You will overcommit without realising, how long and far the ripples of the repercussions will reach.

As the dates change on the calendar, the crippling effect diminishes. It’s like the sun, you enjoy the glorious rays and the bask in its glory. Once you get too close, the scorching heat is too much to bear and you run for cover and lathe yourself with sunscreen. 

Suddenly, it’s not so charming, mysterious and fascinating. You don’t have the patience to look beyond the visceral.

That’s the thing about Enigma. It lasts for a moment.

The question is, do we focus on the moment or make that moment last a lifetime?

Depending on the choice you make , you will either constantly seek those little moments that dissipate or you will stop chasing temporary pleasures and embrace the enigma called Life.
